[English]

Economic corruption within the banking system, as one of the most complex forms of structural corruption, has extensive consequences for the efficiency of the financial system, optimal resource allocation, and public trust. Domestic and international experiences show that traditional, reactive, and siloed approaches to banking supervision, due to their inability to manage information asymmetry and identify complex financial patterns, lack the necessary effectiveness for sustainably curbing corruption. The main research question is through which paths and mechanisms can data governance and novel supervisory technologies contribute to the preventive and effective control of banking corruption. The research method is descriptive-analytical, based on the analysis of relevant laws and regulations, a review of theoretical literature, and the analysis of concrete examples of banking corruption. The research findings indicate that the root of a significant portion of banking corruption lies in informational gaps, data fragmentation, lack of process transparency, and weaknesses in preventive analysis. Establishing a comprehensive data governance system can significantly weaken these enabling factors. The results of the research suggest that integrating information databases, standardizing data exchange, ensuring data quality and security, and utilizing intelligent transaction monitoring systems, e-government, and a national big data analysis system provide the capacity to enhance transparency, increase accountability, and reduce the cost of committing and detecting corruption. Finally, the research concludes that data governance is not merely a technological tool, but a foundational structural and legal reform in banking regulation that can elevate the anti-corruption model from ex-post reactive approaches to preventive supervision.
