Abstract
Social resilience has recently emerged as a fundamental component of advanced governance; however, its Qur’anic foundations within the framework of Islamic governance have received limited scholarly attention. This study aims to develop a conceptual model of social resilience in advanced Islamic governance based on Verse 112 of Surah Hud, with particular emphasis on *Tafsir Tasnim* by Ayatollah Javadi Amoli. The study is applied-developmental in purpose and employs a qualitative approach based on directed qualitative content analysis. Data were derived from Verse 112 of Surah Hud and relevant exegetical propositions in *Tafsir Tasnim*. The data were systematically coded, organized into conceptual categories, and interpreted in light of the theoretical framework of social resilience.
The findings demonstrate that social resilience in Islamic governance is grounded in four principal categories: mission-oriented steadfastness, social participation, power containment, and divine oversight. Their interaction contributes to the formation of governance that is advanced, effective, ethical, and sustainable. Accordingly, social resilience can be conceptualized not merely as a religious-civic principle, but as a theoretical framework for explaining advanced governance.
The study’s novelty lies in reconstructing a conceptual model of social resilience from Verse 112 of Surah Hud, developing a theoretical proposition from qualitative content analysis, and establishing a conceptual linkage between social resilience and contemporary governance literature. The model can contribute to the development of indigenous theories of Islamic governance and the formulation of indicators for assessing social resilience in governance
