Abstract

Social responsibility as the activism of members of society in the field of social environment can be seen among the words of Muslim thinkers and especially contemporary readings of Islam. Martyr Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti; The contemporary thinker and religious scholar has introduced one of the fundamental principles of his social and political anthropology as the principle of "social responsibility". One of the most important fruits of this principle is the duty of individuals to deal with violations of norms and laws and the responsibility of protecting the rules of the Islamic system in the society. In this article, the anthropological foundations of the principle of social responsibility in the eyes of Shahid Beheshti have been analyzed in a descriptive-analytical way, and it has been explained why one should be committed to this principle. The results of this research showed three principles; "man's existential movement", "man's sociability" and "mixed originality of the individual and society" have outlined the foundations of the human evolutionary path and led Shahid Beheshti to understand the responsibility of man in front of God, in addition to two areas "Self" and "natural environment" to the field of "social environment" as well
